JoAnn Houle (b. 1981) is a figurative artist best known for her combination of fictional and non-fictional elements that give her subjects and her work a unique and recognizable style.

JoAnn decided to be an Artist at 10 years old, and earned her B.F.A. from the University of North Dakota on Art and Native American scholarships. Her favorite mediums are: charcoal, pastel, ink, acrylic, and watercolor. 

She has amassed a diverse portfolio ranging from commissioned portraits to a series of black & white word paintings, and more recently theme based collections.

She now works from her dream studio in her home, choosing inspiration that she connects with and feels compelled to express through her art.
